A leading motors group in Chesterfield is seeking a Motor Vehicle Technician to service and repair a diverse range of vehicles. Candidates should have a Level 2 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, strong communication skills, and a full UK driving licence. Qualifications

• Experience in a technical role in the Automotive sector.
• MOT Licence is beneficial but not essential.
• Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and diagnose customers’ vehicles.
• Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer standards.
• Provide accurate diagnostic reports.
• Complete service documentation in line with manufacture, warranty and dealer requirements.
• Verify the quality of work using diagnostic equipment and road tests.

About The Role

As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the service, repair and maintenance work for our customers' vehicles, readying them for the road ahead. What you will do

• Utilise your expanding knowledge of our manufacturer's vehicles and features to service, repair and diagnose customers’ vehicles to an exemplary standard in our modern workshop.
• Work as part of a capable, motivated team and complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
• Provide accurate diagnostic reports on customers’ vehicles.
• Complete relevant service documentation in line with manufacture, warranty and dealer requirements, including job sheets, PDIs and service reports.
• Verify the quality of work through diagnostic equipment and road testing.

About You

• We welcome candidates from all backgrounds with experience in the Automotive sector in a technical role.
• As a minimum, you will be qualified to Level 2 NVQ, or equivalent, in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure; your technical ability will help you overcome challenges.
• An Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification or certification is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Having an MOT Licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
