Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Evesham. You will service, repair and diagnose vehicles in a modern workshop with training and progression opportunities.

The role offers a base salary up to £35,000 DOE with an OTE up to £41,000 plus benefits, and a Monday–Friday schedule with one in three Saturdays. You should have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and strong servicing, diagnostic and repair skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent required.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in an automotive workshop.
• Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair work to high standards.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical & electronic faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional work when required.
• Maintain accurate job cards and workshop documentation.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and manufacturer standards.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm + 1 in 3 Saturdays

THE ROLE

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality servicing, maintenance, diagnostic and repair work while ensuring all vehicles are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
• Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and systems
• Completing vehicle inspections and identifying additional work where required
• Carrying out repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards
• Working towards productivity and efficiency targets
• Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and manufacturer standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Working closely with the wider workshop and aftersales team

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Technician with:

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills
• The ability to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
• A positive and proactive attitude
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A willingness to continue developing your technical knowledge
• A full UK Driving Licence

An MOT Licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
