Job summary

Pybus Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Motor Vehicle Technician for a premium dealership in Basingstoke. The role covers repairs, servicing, diagnostic work and staying up-to-date with the latest vehicle technology.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ/IMI Level 2/3 in light vehicle maintenance, numeracy/literacy/IT skills, and a full UK driving license. Main dealer experience is desirable, with manufacturer training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI Level 2 or 3 in light vehicle maintenance.
• Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
• Use diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to diagnose and rectify vehicle faults as instructed.
• Maintain understanding of latest technology and undertake training to diagnose and repair related faults.
• Observe safe working practices for self and others in all work.
• Adhere to manufacturer and dealer quality standards.
• Liaise with colleagues and supervisors to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Complete relevant service documentation in line with brand standards, warranty and site requirements.
• Complete high-quality vehicle health checks and videos in a timely manner.
• Maintain workshop health, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Continue professional development through manufacturer training pathways, including Hybrid and BEV technologies.

Job Title: Motor Vehicle Technician

Location: Basingstoke, RG21

Salary: Up to £38,771 +bonus potential of up to £18,000

They are now looking for Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technicians for their Premium brand dealership in Basingstoke.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.
• Use diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to diagnose and rectify vehicle faults as instructed.
• Maintain full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and undertake training to diagnose and repair related faults.
• Observe safe working practices for self and others in all work.
• Adhere to manufacturer and dealer quality standards.
• Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Complete relevant service documentation (electronic job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty and site requirements.
• Complete high‑quality vehicle health checks and videos in a timely manner.
• Maintain workshop health, safety and housekeeping standards, including the use of special and personal tools.
• Continue professional development through manufacturer training pathways, including Hybrid and BEV technologies.

Qualifications

• Relevant NVQ / IMI Level 2 / 3 in Light vehicle maintenance qualification.
• Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Main dealer experience (Desirable).
• Manufacturer training and qualifications (Desirable).
