Join to apply for the Motor Claims Handler role at Acorn Group.

We are seeking a proactive individual to join our Claims team, ideal for those comfortable in a fast-paced environment and skilled in troubleshooting and process improvement.

Role Details
  • Position: Motor Claims Handler
  • Location: Sevenoaks (Fully office-based)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm
  • Salary: Starting at £26,442, up to £33,501 plus a performance-related bonus of up to £5,000 quarterly
Key Responsibilities
  • Contact potential claimants promptly, assess needs, and offer our services for repairs, hire, and injury claims
  • Coordinate with supplier networks and ensure clear instructions
  • Identify and refer potentially fraudulent claims
  • Apply accurate reserving and maintain detailed notes in our system
  • Communicate effectively with policyholders and claimants
  • Utilize diaries to minimize claim lifecycle and indemnity spend
  • Assess risks associated with market claims service providers and influence claimant decisions
  • Evaluate policy indemnity & liability and identify fraud indicators
  • Proficiently use intelligence systems and interrogate reports for economical settlements
Candidate Profile
  • Experience in claims or a transferable role
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Analytical with decision-making skills
  • Initiative-driven and motivated
  • Team player with excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in PC use and administration
  • Cert CII qualified or working towards it, or relevant experience
