Job summary

Ips Group is recruiting for a Personal Injury Claims Handler - Motor in Manchester City Centre. You will manage your own caseload of motor bodily injury claims up to £50,000, handling cases from instruction to settlement or litigation.

The role includes exposure to OIC, MOJ and non-portal claims. You will review medical evidence, assess liability and damages, negotiate settlements and liaise with claimants, solicitors and third parties to ensure progress.

Qualifications

• Experience handling motor bodily injury claims from inception through settlement.
• Experience handling claims through the Official Injury Claim (OIC) and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) portals.
• Good understanding of indemnity, liability and quantum.
• Experience reviewing medical evidence and assessing injury claims.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload effectively.
• Proactive approach to developing technical claims knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of motor bodily injury claims from instruction to settlement or litigation.
• Review medical evidence, investigate liability disputes and assess general and special damages.
• Negotiate settlements and liaise with claimants, solicitors and third parties to progress claims.
• Handle out-of-jurisdiction claims including Scotland, Northern Ireland and Guernsey.
