Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd, on behalf of a Fast Fit Auto Centre, seeks an MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join their Wigan team. You will perform MOT tests, servicing, diagnostics and minor repairs to keep customers safe on the road.

Offering a base salary of £34,000 with an uncapped bonus scheme (OTE £40,000+), a five-day week including a fixed weekday off, and a modern workshop environment with career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• DVSA MOT license (Class 4 active tester status required).
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail; customer-first mindset.

Responsabilités

• Conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards on a wide variety of vehicles.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance and vehicle safety checks.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, tyres and minor engine work.
• Maintain accurate digital job cards and communicate with the Service Manager.
• Ensure the workshop is clean, safe and compliant with H&S regulations.

The Role

• Maintaining accurate digital job cards and communicating clearly with the Service Manager.
• Ensuring the workshop remains clean, safe, and compliant with H&S regulations.

What Were Looking For

• Valid DVSA MOT License (Class 4 active tester status is essential).
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience/qualification).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• A strong work ethic with good attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to work comfortably both independently and as part of a busy team.
