Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd. are recruiting an MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician for their Warrington workshop. You will balance MOT testing (DVSA standards) with routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to keep customers safe on the road.

A base salary of £35,000 with an uncapped bonus scheme (OTE £41,000+) is offered. Working hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-5:00pm Saturdays, 5-day week with a fixed day off.

Qualifications

• DVSA MOT Licence (Class 4) active tester required.
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests to DVSA standards on a wide variety of customer vehicles.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and vehicle safety checks.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, tyres and minor engine work.
• Maintain accurate digital job cards and communicate clearly with the Service Manager.
• Ensure the workshop remains clean, safe and compliant with H&S regulations.

The Role

As an MOT Tester and Technician, you will be key to keeping our local customers safe and on the road. Youll handle a balance of class 4 MOT testing alongside routine servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.

What Were Looking For

• Valid DVSA MOT License (Class 4 active tester status is essential).

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience/qualification).

• Full UK Driving Licence.

• A strong work ethic with good attention to detail and a customer-first mindset.

• Ability to work comfortably both independently and as part of a busy team.
