Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group is seeking an MOT Tester/Technician in Exeter to join a busy Service Department. You will carry out MOT testing and assist with light maintenance on vehicles, ensuring high standards and efficiency.

The role requires current MOT certification, relevant NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications and a clean driving licence with up to 9 points. Hybrid/EV training is a plus and training will be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Current MOT Testing Licence.
• Experience in a car dealership, garage or service centre.
• Full driving licence with ≤9 points.
• Hybrid/EV training is desirable; training will be provided if not.

Responsibilities

• Perform MOT testing on vehicles to required standards.
• Assist in light vehicle maintenance when not conducting MOTs.
• Work as part of a busy Service Department in a team.

We are working with the UK’s largest Automotive service, maintenance and repair businessin the Weston-super-marearea who are looking for a VehicleTechnicianto join their busy Service Department.

Job Details

Location: Exeter

Salary: £35,000 /£38,000 + bonus per annum, Average uncapped bonus of £5,800 per year (with potential to earn more), OTE £45,000

5 days a week - No Sundays

Requirements

• Current MOT Testing Licence
• Qualified to IMI/NVQ level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair/ City and Guilds Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance / Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair / Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair / City & Guilds Automotive
• Have experience working within a car dealership or an independent garage/ car supermarket / Service Centre
• Completed your MOT tester course class 4, 5 or 7
• Experience of working on vehicles/ Cars / LC
• Ideally Hybrid / EV trained but if not training will be provided
• Must have a full drivers licence with less than 9 points
• Team player willing to assist in workshop carrying out light vehicle maintenance, when not performing MOT’s
