Job summary

Holt-Recruitment partners with a leading UK automotive service, maintenance and repair business in the Weston-super-Mare area to recruit a Vehicle Technician. The role is MOT Tester / Technician in the Service Department, with a salary of £35,000–£38,000 plus a generous uncapped bonus (average £5,800 per year).

Five days a week, no Sundays, with a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements include a current MOT Testing Licence, IMI/NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in motor vehicle

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid MOT Testing Licence.
• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or City & Guilds Level 3 in LV Maintenance.
• Completed MOT tester course class 4, 5 or 7.
• Experience working in a car dealership or service centre.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT testing on vehicles in the workshop.
• Assist in light maintenance and repair tasks as required.
• Support the Service Department to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.

We are working with the UK’s largest Automotive service, maintenance and repair business in the Weston-super-mare area who are looking for a Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department.

Job Role: MOT Tester / Technician –Weston-super-mare

Location: Exeter

Salary: £35,000 /£38,000 + bonus per annum, Average uncapped bonus of £5,800 per year (with potential to earn more)

5 days a week - No Sundays

Requirements for this Vehicle Technician role are:

• Current MOT Testing Licence
• Qualified to IMI/NVQ level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair/ City and Guilds Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance / Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair / Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair / City & Guilds Automotive
• Have experience working within a car dealership or an independent garage/ car supermarket / Service Centre
• Completed your MOT tester course class 4, 5 or 7
• Experience of working on vehicles/ Cars / LC
• Ideally Hybrid / EV trained but if not training will be provided
• Must have a full drivers licence with less than 9 points
• Team player willing to assist in workshop carrying out light vehicle maintenance, when not performing MOT’s
