Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking an MOT Tester to join our automotive centre. The ideal candidate will hold a valid MOT Tester licence issued by DVSA, be capable of working safely in a busy retail environment, and demonstrate excellent communication.

You will perform MOT tests on light vehicles to DVSA standards, record results on the DVSA computer system, and fit products or provide ancillary services to customers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid MOT Tester licence issued by DVSA.
• Capable of working in a busy retail automotive environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests on light vehicles to DVSA standards.

Job description

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
