Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join our automotive service team in the Runcorn area. The successful candidate will perform MOT testing on light vehicles, ensuring safety and DVSA compliance, while contributing to a busy retail environment.

The role requires holding a valid DVSA MOT Tester licence and the ability to work both as part of a small team and autonomously, delivering high-quality workmanship with pride.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.
• Must hold a valid MOT Tester licence issued by DVSA.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage own workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and input details into the DVSA computer system.
• Fit company products to customer vehicles and perform ancillary services as required.
• Work both in a small team and independently while maintaining high standards.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
