Job summary

Webrecruit is hiring an MOT Tester for our Burton upon Trent centre. You will perform MOT tests on light vehicles in line with DVSA standards, input test results into the DVSA system, and work as part of a small but busy team.

The ideal candidate has a flexible approach, strong communication skills, and experience in a busy automotive retail environment. The role offers opportunities for training and progression, with a supportive team and a focus on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence issued by the DVSA.
• Experience in a busy retail environment in automotive setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and flexible approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and input details into the DVSA system.
• Fit products to customer vehicles and perform ancillary services as required.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
