Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join our automotive retail team in Wales. You will perform MOT tests on light vehicles in a DVSA-compliant manner, inputting results into the DVSA system. You will also fit company-specified products and conduct ancillary services with accuracy and care.

The successful candidate will work in a small team, with opportunities for training and development, and a strong emphasis on quality and safety in every task.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT Tester licence (DVSA) is required.
• Experience working in a busy retail automotive environment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and input results into the DVSA computer system.
• Fit products as specified by the Company to customer vehicles and perform ancillary services.
• Ensure work is completed to high standards and in a safe, efficient manner.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
