Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking a skilled MOT tester to join our automotive retail team. You will conduct MOT tests on light vehicles to DVSA standards, entering details into the DVSA system and performing associated services on customer vehicles.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid MOT tester licence and experience in a busy retail automotive environment, with a flexible approach to workload and high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting.
• Able to manage workload with a flexible approach.
• DVSA MOT test knowledge and standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and input details on the DVSA computer system.
• Fit products specified by the Company to customer vehicles and perform ancillary services.
• Maintain safety and efficiency in all testing tasks.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
