Qualifications

• Qualified MOT tester with minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Experience in the motor industry, either brand or non-brand.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests in line with ministry guidelines.

Job description

Salary: up to £47,000 OTE (including £25,000 - £41,000 basic depending on experience and qualifications, plus uncapped bonus)

Hours: (42) Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4.30pm, plus Saturday mornings on a rota.

Lookers Gateshead Nissan are recruiting for a qualified and experienced MOT Tester to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside other experienced technicians, you will play a vital role carrying out vehicle services and repairs, and MOT tests in line with ministry guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT tests in line with ministry guidelines
• Reporting any failures to the Workshop Controller, advising work required for the vehicle to be road worthy
• Occasionally support in completing repairs
• Complete all relevant paperwork and lease with the customer
• Carrying out any ad-hoc duties as and when required
• Vehicle servicing and repairs

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), a full and valid UK driving licence, and is a qualified MOT tester. You’ll be self-motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and are able to work to and maintain the highest of standards to all vehicles that take a spin through our doors.
