Job summary

Webrecruit is sourcing an MOT Tester to join our automotive retail team. You will conduct MOT tests on light vehicles in line with DVSA standards, and input results in the DVSA computer system.

You will also fit company products to customer vehicles and perform related services. The ideal candidate will hold a valid MOT Tester licence and have proven experience in a busy retail automotive setting, with strong communication and workload management skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid MOT Tester licence issued by DVSA.
• Experience in busy retail environment, automotive setting.
• Excellent communication and workload management skills.
• Flexible and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests on light vehicles in accordance with DVSA standards.
• Enter MOT details into the DVSA computer system.
• Fit products to customer vehicles and perform associated services.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
