Job summary

Webrecruit is seeking an MOT tester in our automotive retail team. The role focuses on conducting MOT tests to DVSA standards and recording results in the official DVSA system. You will also fit products to customer vehicles and perform related ancillary services with accuracy and care.

The successful candidate will work within a small team, but be able to manage tasks independently, maintaining high quality and safety standards throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Flexible approach to tasks and ability to manage own workload.
• Proven excellent communication in a busy retail automotive environment.
• Experience in motor vehicle servicing and customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and enter results into the DVSA computer system.
• Fit products as specified by the Company to customer vehicles and perform ancillary services.

Hours

The Company's normal opening times are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.00pm, Saturday 8.30am hours to 5.00pm hours and Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm. Working hours to be discussed at interview

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy retail environment in an automotive setting. The main objective of the role will be to MOT test light vehicles as set out by DVSA in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own and should take a great degree of pride in carrying out tasks to an extremely high standard.

Job Responsibilities

• All MOT Testers must hold a valid MOT Tester licence which is issued by the DVSA
• To carry out MOT test to DVSA standard and input the details on the DVSA computer system
• To fit any product specified by the Company to customer vehicles and carry out a range of ancillary services to customer vehicles
