Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is recruiting an MOT Tester for the Volkswagen Van Centre Manchester. You will perform MOT testing and associated vehicle service tasks, coordinating closely with service reception and workshop control to communicate results and plan any required work.

The role emphasizes maintaining high quality inspections, up-to-date vehicle knowledge, and outstanding customer service, with a supportive team environment and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance is required/advantageous.
• Experience as an MOT Tester is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work well with others and deliver great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT service and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
• Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control on test results and additional work.
• Ensure quality inspection controls are carried out.
• Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
• Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to loyalty and referrals.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of work.
