Job summary

Octane Recruitment is looking for an MOT Technician based at their Salisbury centre. The role involves completing MOTs on customer vehicles and performing light service work. The candidate must hold a valid MOT licence and have experience as a Vehicle Technician; qualification is not required as the client will fund training for Level 3 qualifications.

Location is Salisbury with a 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday schedule and Saturday on rota. Salary is £34,000 - £36,000 with OTE £3,600.

Qualifications

• Valid MOT licence required.
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician required (not necessarily qualified).
• MOT Tester experience desirable.
• Willing to undertake Level 3 qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete MOTs on customer vehicles.
• Perform light and full-service work as needed.
• Support fast fit duties as required.
• Work with workshop and other centre departments to meet targets.
• Ensure DVSA processes are followed.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UKs fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a MOT Technician based at their retail centre in Salisbury.

As a MOT Technician would be responsible for completing MOTs on customers cars, as well as other light repair work. To be applicable for this role you must have a valid MOT licence, as well as experience working as a Vehicle Technician. You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Salisbury

Pay / salary: £34,000 - £36,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

MOT Technician Responsibilities:

• Completing MOTs on customer vehicles
• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties as and (when required)
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Working with other centre departments (Service, Parts, etc) and ensuring that they are well informed
• Ensure the correct DVSA process is followed

To be a MOT Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Experience as an MOT Tester
• A valid MOT licence Essential
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
