Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is hiring a MOT & Preparation Technician for its Skoda Norwich operation. You’ll diagnose, service and repair vehicles to exacting standards while collaborating with reception and workshop teams. You’ll explain technical matters to customers and keep knowledge current.

Healthy customer service focus with a supportive team and growth opportunities in a large, nationwide dealer group. This on-site role offers training and development within a dynamic, busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required; motor industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to high standards.
• Communicating with Service Reception and Workshop Control.
• Speaking with customers to provide expert, technical opinion.
• Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge.
• Maintaining high customer service leading to loyalty and referrals.
• Ensuring tidy work area and orderly administration.

What you’ll do day to day

• Carrying out service, diagnosis and repair of vehicles to excellent standards.
• Communicating with the Service Reception team and Workshop Control.
• Speaking with customers on occasion to provide your expert, technical opinion.
• Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
• Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards and orderly administration of your work.

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Motor Industry in a similar role is essential
