Job summary

Stockport Homes Group seeks a Money Advice Assistant to help customers navigate housing costs and benefits, delivering clear money guidance and supporting tenancy sustainment.

You will work in a hybrid setup from our offices, with core hours 8.30am–5pm, Monday to Friday, and opportunities to grow through our Maximising Our Potential approach.

Qualifications

  • Ideally knowledge of Universal Credit and the benefits system.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Confident telephone communication and excellent customer service.
  • Ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure in a busy team.
  • Experience managing a demanding workload and meeting deadlines.

  • Helping customers claim the support they’re entitled to for housing costs and understand their payment commitments.
  • Giving basic money advice and guidance on benefits.
  • Working closely with the Lettings team during sign-ups, focusing on financial wellbeing.
  • Handling calls and managing cases using IT systems.
  • Delivering accurate, customer-focused service that helps sustain tenancies.
