Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is recruiting an Income Maximisation Assistant for 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract to January 2027 in Glasgow. The role focuses on supporting tenants and maximising rental income within a hybrid working arrangement.

You will work with welfare benefits processes, Housing Benefit and Universal Credit, handling arrears, repayments and liaison with partner agencies to protect revenue and provide reliable information to tenants.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience using databases and internal systems.
• Basic knowledge of welfare benefits, including Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
• Experience in debt recovery and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Understanding of social landlord policies related to tenancy.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the Income Maximisation Team, including welfare rights and income management services.
• Answer phone calls and manage general inquiries on behalf of the team.
• Monitor former tenant arrears and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain relationships with agencies affecting Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
• Process notifications regarding Direct Debits and communicate appropriately.
• Complete verification tasks through the Universal Credit Landlord Portal.
• Utilise social media to maintain contact with customers.
• Process housing benefit determination notices and prioritise suspended or cancelled cases.
• Provide cover for Reception staff as needed.
