Job summary

JRL Modular is seeking a Factory Operative to assemble modular pods and cupboards at our Newark-based facility, located in Carlton on Trent. You will join a team focused on quality, safety and efficiency, using basic carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical skills where needed.

Ideally you have assembly or construction experience, are comfortable with hand and power tools, and bring a can-do, punctual attitude.

Qualifications

Previous assembly or basic construction experience is preferred but not essential.
Manual handling and use of power tools preferred but not essential.
A flexible team player with a responsive and can-do attitude.
Ability to follow a process and work to targets – H&S, Quality and Productivity.
Punctual with an excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

Assembly of modular apartments, bathrooms & utility cupboards.
Basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical & other maintenance duties.
Ensure all Company procedures are followed.
Undertake any training as required, and assist in training other team members.
Ensure factory areas and workspace are tidy and maintain high housekeeping.
Work safely and take responsibility for Health & Safety of yourself and colleagues.
Any other duties required by factory supervisors.
