Job summary

JRL Modular invites factory operatives to join our Newark-based facility to assemble modular pods and bathrooms and utility cupboards. Experience with power tools is preferred; full training provided.

Working hours are Mon-Thu 7:30am–4:00pm and Fri 7:30am–3:00pm. This is a permanent PAYE position based at JRL Modular factory in Newark, NG23, with emphasis on enthusiasm, reliability and a can-do attitude, and with all tools provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly or basic construction preferred but not essential.
• Manual handling and power tools experience preferred but not essential.
• Reliable team player with a can-do attitude; follows processes and targets.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modular apartments, bathrooms, and utility cupboards.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and maintenance tasks.
• Keep work areas tidy and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Follow company procedures and health & safety practices.
• Assist in training others and undertake any duties assigned by factory supervisors.

Factory Operative - Modular PODS & PUCS

Location: Carlton on Trent, NG23 6NT

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 3:00pm

JRL Modular are looking for Factory Operatives to assemble, bathrooms and utility cupboards to supply to its onsite projects. Looking with someone with power tool experience, hands on. Full training is provided along with all the necessary tools and equipment.

This is a Permanent PAYE position based at JRL Modular factory in Newark, NG23.

DUTIES

• Assembly of modular apartments, bathrooms & utility cupboards
• basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical & other maintenance duties
• Ensure all Company procedures are followed.
• To undertake any training as required, and to also assist in the training of other team members in the tasks you are proficient at.
• Ensure factory areas and your work space is kept tidy and clear and that a high level of housekeeping is maintained.
• To work safely and take responsibility for the Health & Safety of yourself and your colleagues.
• Any other duties required by factory supervisors.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

• Previous assembly or basic construction experience is preferred but not essential
• Manual handling and use of power tools preferred but not essential
• A flexible Team player with a responsive and can do attitude.
• Ability to follow a process and work to targets – H&S, Quality and Productivity.
• Punctual with an excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.
