Job summary

JRL Modular in Carlton-on-Trent seeks an experienced tiler to join our indoor pod build line. You’ll tile walls and floors inside prefabricated apartments, handling surface prep, adhesive application, tile fixing and grouting to exact specifications.

This is a 6‑month contract with fixed hours (Mon–Thu 07:30–16:00, Fri 07:30–15:00), CIS pay per pod completed, and no weather delays. You’ll coordinate with joiners, plumbers and electricians on the production line while maintaining high safety

Qualifications

• Proven tiling experience — essential.
• Valid CIS card — mandatory.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work set hours.
• Own basic hand tools preferred.
• Comfortable working in a team production environment.

Responsibilities

• Install wall and floor tiling to JRL Modular standards across each apartment pod
• Surface preparation, adhesive application, tile fixing, grouting and finishing
• Complete tiling within each pod to precise dimensions and build specifications
• Maintain quality and speed to meet daily production targets
• Keep work area tidy and follow all health and safety / factory rules

Monday–Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00
Friday: 07:30 – 15:00 — early finish

About the Role

Join our modular apartment assembly facility in Carlton-on-Trent. You’ll tile wall and floor areas inside prefabricated apartment pods/modules — bathrooms and utility cupboards. Consistent indoor work, steady workflow, part of the wider JRL Modular build team.
