Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1 Team at our Silverstone facility seeks an experienced wind tunnel model maker to join the Model Shop and Wind Tunnel teams, manufacturing, assembling, and testing aero components.

You will work with design engineers, ensure high standards, follow health and safety practices, and travel to support testing operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in wind tunnel model preparation and wind tunnel testing.
• Background in model-making within a high-performance motorsport environment.
• Good understanding of mechanical installations and assemblies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture wind tunnel model parts and assemblies to the highest standards while meeting deadlines.
• Support the Model Shop team in managing workloads and achieving departmental targets.
• Build and maintain complex mechanical assemblies for wind tunnel models.
• Identify technical issues and assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
• Collaborate with Model Design Engineers to improve the efficiency, functionality, and quality of model changes and components.
• Support and maintain Health & Safety standards within the working environment.
• Travel regularly as required to support team activities and testing operations.

Cadillac Formula 1® Team at our Silverstone facility. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team working across the Model Shop and Wind Tunnel environments to manufacture, assemble, and test high-quality components for aerodynamic development and wind tunnel testing.
