Job summary

Babcock International in Plymouth, Devon, is seeking a Security Guard to join our site. You will provide a professional security service, control access, and patrol restricted areas, supporting operation safety and compliance with MoD security requirements.

You will work a 35-hour week on a rotating shift, including nights and weekends, and must hold a valid UK driving licence and SIA licence. The role offers a generous holiday allowance, pension and other benefits.

Responsibilities

• Control access to secure facilities and verify personnel, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct scheduled and random patrols on foot and by vehicle.
• Report suspicious activity and security incidents according to procedures.
• Respond to emergencies including medical incidents, fire alarms and security events.
• Collaborate with security teams and MOD stakeholders to maintain a safe environment.
