Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Information Security Lead to assure security across major infrastructure projects on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard. You will develop assurance plans, manage risks and controls, and produce artefacts to support compliance with UK government and defence frameworks.

You will engage with stakeholders including MOD representatives and support audits, bids and security improvements. The role requires sole UK National status with the ability to obtain Security Check clearance,

Qualifications

Essential experience of the Information Security Lead.
Proven experience in information security assurance within regulated or defence environments.
Strong understanding of UK security standards, including government and defence frameworks.
Experience producing security documentation and assurance artefacts.
Ability to manage and mitigate risks in complex environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Security assurance across multiple major infrastructure projects.
Developing and maintaining assurance plans aligned with recognised frameworks.
Managing security risks, controls, and evidence to support compliance.
Engaging with stakeholders, including Ministry of Defence representatives, on assurance activities.
Supporting audits, bids, and ongoing security improvement initiatives.
