Job summary

Serco is seeking a Security Guard on the TCS contract at MOD Oakhanger. You’ll contribute to protecting a high‑security site, assist with safeguarding people, information and infrastructure, and support safe, uninterrupted operations through vigilance and professional service.

The role includes patrols, CCTV operation, access control, record keeping, and collaboration with colleagues and external agencies. A valid SIA licence, current SC security clearance, UK driving licence, and eligibility to

Qualifications

• A valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence is required.
• Current SC Security Clearance and the ability to meet US clearance requirements.
• Experience working in a secure or government environment.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Compliance with Defence Academy and Serco security, operational, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first line of defence in support of the TCS site mission.
• Carry out foot and vehicle patrols, escort duties, and vehicle and bag searches.
• Operate security systems including CCTV, intrusion detection systems and entry control.
• Issue and receive keys and site passes, maintaining accurate records.
• Complete reports and maintain the Daily Occurrence Log.
• Work closely with colleagues and external agencies to uphold site security.
