Job summary

Get Set UK is seeking an experienced Team Leader for the Youth Mentor Programme. You will lead Employment Advisors delivering the programme, guiding young people from referral to employment.

This is a hands-on, mobile leadership role across community locations in Southampton and Portsmouth, requiring regular travel, a valid driving licence, vehicle and business insurance. You will coach staff, monitor performance and ensure safeguarding and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, supervising or coaching teams in an outcome-focused service.
• Delivering against measurable targets or contractual outcomes.
• Experience in employability, youth services, careers, education or related fields.
• Use of performance or case data to identify risks and drive action.
• Full UK driving licence with access to vehicle for travel across delivery areas.
• Ability to present employment history clearly, including gaps in the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Employment Advisors delivering the Youth Mentor Programme.
• Set clear expectations, review cases and progress, and coach staff.
• Collaborate with employer-facing colleagues to reflect participant needs in opportunities.
• Monitor in-work support and address employment risks to improve sustainment.
• Ensure safeguarding, quality and compliance are integral to delivery.
