Get Set UK in Reading is seeking an Employment Advisor to support young people aged 18-24 in securing employment and building confidence. The role is mobile and community-based, requiring regular travel between delivery locations and a valid driving licence.

You will manage a caseload, provide CV and interview support, and help overcome barriers to work. You will work with Employer Partnerships to identify vacancies and support sustained employment through in-work coaching.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching or advising people toward outcomes.
• Experience engaging individuals facing barriers to employment.
• Experience identifying practical barriers and helping progression toward work.
• Evidence of meeting targets, deadlines or outcomes.
• Valid driving licence and access to vehicle for travel between locations.
• Ability to present employment history clearly including gaps.

Responsabilités

• Build relationships with young people to understand strengths and barriers and create action plans.
• Provide CV, application and interview support and help with travel/identification/digital access.
• Collaborate with Employer Partnerships to prepare candidates for introductions and opportunities.
• Provide in-work coaching and address emerging difficulties to sustain employment.
• Maintain accurate records and evidence caseload progress.
