Job summary

Gold Group is seeking Mobile Water Treatment Engineer X2 in Smethwick to join a large facilities management organisation. Salary £30,000–£31,000, plus van and fuel card, with 24 days’ holiday and potential 5–15% bonus.

Role includes water hygiene tasks, L8 compliance, and TMV servicing, with a focus on self-delivery of services. Ideal candidates hold Legionella awareness training, water sampling knowledge, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Legionella awareness training and knowledge of L8 ACOP, HSG274 and related guidance.
• Experience in water hygiene/treatment.
• TMV servicing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent the water compliance as a Tier 1 Water Treatment Technician for self-delivery of water hygiene/treatment services.
• Carry out temperature monitoring, showerhead descales, cold water storage, tank inspections and TMV servicing.
• Carry out remedial works and PPM service visits using appropriate tools and systems.
• Ensure all site L8 logbooks are up to date and accurate.

Brief

Mobile Water Treatment Engineer needed for a large well known Facilities Management organisation based in Smethwick who are looking to employ a number of experienced and well-rounded Mobile Water Treatment Engineers.

The successful candidate must have relevant qualifications and/or experience dependant on role

Along with Legionella Awareness Training including extensive Knowledge of Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274 and any other relevant guidance.

What the role entails

• Representing the water compliance as a Tier 1 Water Treatment Technician to execute the self delivery of all Water hygiene/treatment services
• Duties include but not limited to; Temperature Monitoring, Showerhead Descales, Cold Water Storage, Tank Inspections and Cleans TMV Servicing, Water Sampling
• Carryout remedial works in response to quoted works
• Carry out PPM service visits using appropriate tools and systems
• Ensure all site L8 logbooks where acting as the Primary Technician are in date and accurate

What experience you need to be the successful Mobile Water Treatment Engineer

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience dependant on role
• Legionella Awareness Training including extensive Knowledge of Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274 and any other relevant guidance
• TMV Servicing experience (Servicing and Testing Requirements of Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV) (WH018) trained is preferable)
• Water Sampling experience including understanding of different sample suites and bottle types
• Experience in water hygiene/treatment
• Valid driving licence
