Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a Mobile Water Treatment Technician to support healthcare and commercial sites across the Birmingham and Coventry region. The role concentrates on Legionella control, water hygiene, sampling, temperature monitoring, inspections and remedial works.

The position covers Birmingham/Coventry region with a company vehicle provided and a Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 schedule. A strong focus on safety and customer service is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Water Treatment or Water Hygiene.
• Knowledge of Legionella control and water hygiene.
• Experience with water sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Experience with TMVs, tanks and water systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• RAMS, health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor temperature and collect water samples.
• Descales/ TMV servicing of showerheads.
• Inspect and remediate cold water tanks.
• Test, analyse and disinfect water systems.
• Dose chemicals for closed systems (inhibitors/biocides).
• Service water softeners and disinfection.
• Inspect boiler and calorifier water systems.
• Carrying out plumbing remedial works and dead-legs removal.
• Prepare accurate service reports and documentation.
• Follow RAMS and safe working procedures.
• Travel between Birmingham, Coventry and surrounding areas.

Mobile Water Treatment Technician

We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Water Treatment Technician to support healthcare and commercial sites across the Birmingham and Coventry region.

The role focuses on Legionella control, water hygiene, sampling, temperature monitoring, inspections and remedial works.

Birmingham / Coventry Region

Key Responsibilities

• Temperature monitoring and water sampling.
• Showerhead descales and TMV servicing.
• Cold water storage tank inspections, cleaning and remedial works.
• Water system testing, analysis and disinfection.
• Closed-system chemical dosing, including inhibitors and biocides.
• Water softener servicing and disinfection.
• Calorifier and boiler water system inspections/testing.
• Plumbing remedial works, including dead-leg removal and TMV replacements.
• Complete accurate service reports and technical documentation.
• Follow RAMS, risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Travel between sites across Birmingham, Coventry and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Water Treatment, Water Hygiene or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Legionella control and water hygiene.
• Experience with water sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Experience with TMVs, tanks and water systems.
• Relevant water treatment/Legionella qualifications.
• Level 2 Plumbing qualification desirable.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS and risk assessments.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
