Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the SMR division. You’ll work on a pre‑booked schedule, servicing and repairing vehicles at members’ driveways or car parks across the Nottingham cluster.

Expect a base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, plus overtime options and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full‑time mobile role with structured workflows and support from the RAC.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Routine servicing and safety checks to RAC standards.
• Pre‑booked appointments with clear schedules and parts ordering built in.
