Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. This role delivers planned, pre-booked servicing and repairs directly to members, from driveways to car parks, with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics.

You’ll work a 40-hour week (Mon–Sat) with core hours 8:30 to 17:00, and overtime/bonus opportunities to enhance earnings. You’ll operate in the Nottingham cluster area, covering several local towns.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
