Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division to deliver planned, on-site maintenance and repairs for members in a defined local area. You’ll work a pre-booked schedule, carry out diagnostics with mobile equipment, and perform in-depth repairs, with the goal of keeping vehicles moving and members satisfied.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
