Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division in the Leeds area. You will service pre-booked appointments with a fully equipped RAC van, earning £40,170 base with potential to reach £52,000 with overtime and bonuses.

The role is 40 hours per week, time-shared across Monday to Saturday, with a clear digital schedule and no reactive callouts, ensuring you can focus on quality repairs and patient safety.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
