Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division to perform planned diagnostics, servicing and repairs at customers’ locations across a defined local area. You will work from a fully equipped RAC van with a digital schedule and consistent workload.

You’ll benefit from a market-competitive base salary (£45,370), potential OTE up to £57,000, 40-hour weeks, and structured development within a national network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic required.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points required.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing on customers' vehicles.
• Carry out diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Complete in-depth repairs that would usually be done in a workshop.
• Provide member guidance and recommendations based on inspections.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks per RAC standards.
