Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to deliver planned servicing, diagnostics and repairs directly to members’ driveways and workplaces. You will use your skills to keep vehicles safe and moving, with a fully equipped RAC van and a structured schedule.

Expect a 40-hour week with core hours 8:30–17:00 and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Base salary £40,170 with potential to earn up to £52,000, plus overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Five+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is also acceptable.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
