Job summary

The RAC is recruiting for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division serving the Portsmouth cluster including Gosport. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs on member vehicles at pre-booked appointments and deliver high-quality service on the road.

You’ll work in a structured, scheduled environment with modern mobile diagnostics, a company van, and benefits designed to support your long-term career in mobile maintenance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
