Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the SMR division. You will work on pre-booked appointments across the Esher cluster and surrounding areas, using advanced diagnostics to service and repair vehicles on site or at customer locations.

The role offers a structured, non-emergency workload with clear schedules, full training, and ongoing development. Expect a stable, full-time 40-hour week with opportunities to advance into EV diagnostics and specialized

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence required.
• 2+ years experience in light vehicle maintenance or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Diagnostics performed with advanced mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Skills

UK driving licence

2+ years experience in light vehicle

5+ years as Vehicle Technician

Diagnostics proficiency

Education
