Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR Division, covering Hemel Hempstead and surrounding areas. You’ll work on planned, pre-booked jobs with a fully equipped RAC van, diagnostics and in-depth repairs, without emergency callouts.

Expect a 40-hour week (Mon-Sat, 8am-8pm) with guaranteed overtime and numerous benefits. NVQ2+ or equivalent and a full UK licence with <6 points are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In depth repairs you'd normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
