Job summary

The RAC is expanding its SMR division and seeking Mobile Vehicle Technicians to service members through pre-booked appointments across the Luton cluster and surrounding areas. You’ll work on planned repairs with the tools, time, and support needed to deliver quality results without emergency callouts.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Work through a scheduled list of pre-booked jobs.
