Job summary

RAC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostics directly to customers at driveways and car parks. You will operate a fixed 40-hour week with structured shifts and occasional Saturdays.

You’ll be equipped from day one with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit, enabling you to deliver first‑class service wherever customers are. This role offers progression, work‑life balance, and competitive reward.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mobile maintenance and diagnostics to customers at their location.
• Service, diagnostics, repairs and checks as part of a planned schedule.
• Manage stock, complete reporting, and maintain customer conversations.

Skills

5+ years experience as Vehicle Technic

Full UK driving licence (<6 points)

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance
