Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for a home-based role servicing and repairing customer vehicles at their driveways or workplace locations in Burton upon Trent. EVs included, with a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm schedule and one Saturday per month.

Salary starts at £40,170 with OTE in excess of £52,000. The package includes overtime paid at 1.5x after hours, a pension, life insurance, wellbeing support, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair; Level 3 preferred.
• At least 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles at customers' locations (including EVs).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tires, brakes).
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical).
• Use diagnostic tools/software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers and manage payments.
• Maintain records of work performed and parts used.
