Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces across the UK. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a base salary of £40,170 (inclusive of LWA) and an OTE in excess of £57,000.

The role is home-based with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8:30am–5pm, and occasional Saturdays with compensating time off. Overtime and bonus schemes can significantly boost annual earnings, with additional benefits and

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ or equivalent).
• Level 3 qualification preferred in light vehicle maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at customer-selected locations such as driveways or office car parks.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections).
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical).
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate with customers about issues and recommendations.
• Handle payments via card transactions.
• Keep up to date with automotive tech and record parts used.
