Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service and repair vehicles at customers' homes or workplaces across the UK. You will work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.30am–5pm, with occasional Saturdays paid as time off in the same week.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 light vehicle maintenance and repair (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ or equivalent).
• Ideal to have Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Must have a full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vehicles (including EVs) at customers' locations such as driveways or office car parks.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools/software to identify and fix complex problems.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Handle payments via card transactions.
