Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician in Nottingham to service, maintain and repair vehicles at customer locations. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm, with one Saturday per month; overtime paid at 1.5x after 5pm and on additional Saturdays.

The position offers a salary of £40,170 (inclusive of LWA) with OTE well above £52,000, and a comprehensive benefits package including career progression and training.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles at customer locations (driveway, car park, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Handle payments via card transactions and keep records up to date.
