Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for a new division of the UK''s leading breakdown company. You will service and repair vehicles at customers'' homes or workplaces, including EVs, on a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm) with one Saturday per month.

Salary starts at £40,170 with OTE in excess of £52,000. Benefits include pension, life cover, overtime, training, and employee share schemes, plus wellbeing support and breakdown cover for your household.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 or ideally Level 3 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at the customer's location (driveway or office car park).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems including engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Payment handling through card transactions.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
