Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician to service, maintain, and repair vehicles at customers’ homes or workplaces in Coventry.

The role is permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week, with a Tuesday–Saturday shift pattern including occasional overtime paid at enhanced rates. Excellent earning potential with base pay and OTE, plus training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum Level 2 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair, or ideally a Level 3 qualification.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at the customer’s location.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
